Fabien Navidi-Kasmai is doing fine now. A couple of years ago, however, he was fighting Hodgkin's lymphoma. The District boy, now 14, was in treatment at Georgetown University Medical Center for eight months. When he returned to school, he faced a whole new set of challenges.
Catching up on schoolwork wasn't the problem. It was catching up on the social aspects of school; the field trips and parties he had missed and the gossip he never heard.
