Summary


The Social Security myth is probably one of the biggest, fattest lies of the 20th century.

The probability of Social Security providing for a 30-year withdrawal, without a breakdown, is nowhere near certainty. Suppose you wanted a 95 percent certainty that you would get your Social Security check over a 30-year period. This implies a 5 percent failure rate. In terms of years, that means that out of 600 years, there is no 30-year period in which you do not experience a military, political or economic collapse.
