In toppling the New York Mets 6-2 last night, the Nationals again eschewed all those negative developments that could have sidetracked their seven-game road trip. One night after rallying to beat the Philadelphia Phillies in a game in which both rookie left-hander John Lannan and manager Manny Acta got ejected, Washington received a gutsy pitching performance from Mike Bacsik, an all-around offensive performance and a stellar defensive performance to produce the win at Shea Stadium.
