Summary
Thankfully, one political candidate is not promoting the climate- change mania that, if continued, will be more destructive than the recent housing mania ("Climate change confronts McDonnell after rally, Metro, Sunday). This mania is based upon faulty assumptions and computer models no better than those that predicted U.S. home prices will never fall.
In the 20th century, prosperity was built with affordable, reliable energy, particularly electricity. Electricity will be even more important in the 21st century. Only those in the grips of a mania would demand shutting down reliable, inexpensive coal plants before other sources of equally reliable electricity are in place. The proposals to "fight climate change" provide no assurances that alternative sources will be available.See the full content of this document
