Metropolitan Police Chief Cathy L. Lanier yesterday kicked off the 24th annual National Night Out with a pledge to improve the department's relationship with the community it serves.
"We are out there engaging our folks and engaging in community policing, but we have zero tolerance for violent crime in our community. And if you commit it, we're coming to get you," Chief Lanier said at a press conference outside the LeDroit Park Market in Northwest.See the full content of this document
