Israel blockaded Gaza to put an end to the murderous misuse of that territory for attacks on neighboring Israeli farm families ("Freedom Flotilla flotsam," Commentary, Wednesday).
Furthermore, the blockade comes only after years of thankless efforts by Israel to secure international cooperation - cooperation it has rarely received - in stopping these attacks.
